Giovanni and Davide, Claudio, Francesco, Bo Larkeed, thank you very much for your comments and appreciation, a warm greeting to all, giancarlo
@Giovanni and Davide: let's say that this result is "the one / among those" that best comes close to the image I wanted to get: the large lighthouse that illuminates the bridge already makes the first stretch of the parapet burnt: in case I had exposed "correctly" only the bridge, everything would have been even blacker (as in fact it was) and in the all-black sky perhaps you would have barely seen the three planets aligned: lightening the ground area I did not consider it necessary nor desirable: before this I trashed several shots: iso much higher produce an unpleasant noise; much longer times produce a glare of the details of the bridge and the movement of the stars, even less desirable.

Bell imagine and especially thanks to the caption, I have seen and known things that remain fascinating and mysterious for me.
Technically, I'm not convinced of the exposure times. (8 sec seems to me few to start seeing the stars to "sausage", especially with a short optics. Even at 60 mm it should hold about 12 sec with the star still point-like.
Bey be it, congratulations and thanks!

Thank you very much, I go, I learn and I come back :-P The stars are magnificent but you can not approach them except with study and knowledge. I am totally immature and I am fascinated by every explanation that transports me a little in this world full of mysterious charm.
The sausage star is the star that no longer appears point-like because of the movement, as you said. The maximum exposure time depends on the focal length. The rule, broadly speaking, is 500/focal length = max exposure sec. To stay a little on the side of the spoils I consider 400. Doing so you should get point stars and not "sausages" :-D :-D :-D
I'm sure you already know everything. I just deluded myself to return the favor :-P
Good light
