Beautiful colors, subjects and times. Given the crop so pushed the sharpness is not so bad! ;-)

Some artifact but it happens!
There is something wrong with the head of the maid left: there is no ocellus! I think you lost it in the post :-)

Then our stlitta smear-Chinese works discreetly!
I got to try it just for a series of shots of lichens in the garden, but at the time of merging the images photoshop did not want to throw out something decent: fconfuso:
I'll try again! :-)

Matt I checked the other shots made to the maid and the ocellus there, only it is higher and therefore in this pose does not look good .......

The pleasant colors, the focus, the composition and the final result overall. I would avoid the use of crop because then you should consider it in close-up. Your optical works fine at 1:1 and with smaller apertures that I would recommend you set them without hesitation finding the physical limit prior to a diffraction ... less clicks, the greater the possibility to counteract camera shake and therefore the loss of sharpness. (Imho). hello and good light with little wind, laurel

Thanks Lauro!
However I was at 1:1, I cropped further because the ladies were really small and the image did not make .......

I did not understand instead of the shake-f5 ..... theoretically with 1/60 I have seen also less likely to take the continuous handle with micro slide .... or perhaps you mean camera shake due to the change of position of the ladies'. ....

Ciauz and thanks

For the whole sequence of shots you need that no model move one paw or head, less shots run longer reduce this possibility then you can close the aperture more, raise the iso in a bit and get a time even slower but more and safety. (Imho). hello and good light with little wind, laurel

Thank you for this post and your comments have made it better, to a photographer of flowers, the magical and a bit 'mysterious macros of insects. I find that your photography is beautiful, regardless of all the technical considerations.

I think you're very good, the picture is very well done, as you said, with more attention being the union can improve further. It is a technique that makes me crazy, I love the focus, in some rare cases I've tried, lately of a butterfly, but 4 shots without slide ...

Congratulations on your image and explanation
Luca

You're right Luke, in his haste I made some little mistakes in the process of union ....... I'll try not to repeat it in the future;-D
