Sa Murra sarda: il gioco tradizionale fatto di ritmo, scaltrezza, velocità e intuizione ----- A chi non è mai capitato, durante una sagra di paese in Sardegna, o in una scampagnata, di vedere dei capannelli di persone scandire ad alta voce dei numeri, solitamente in sardo, spesso intervallati da accese discussioni? Ebbene, nel caso la risposta fosse affermativa, avete assistito ad una partita a “Murra”, un gioco tradizionale che affonda la sue radici più di duemila anni fa. E' possibile infatti che le origini della Morra (secondo la sua inclinazione in italiano) risalgano all'Antico Egitto. Tempo fa infatti, gli archeologi trovarono delle pitture all'interno della tomba di un alto dignitario, che rappresentavano due persone che incrociavano le dita nel classico gesto che ancora oggi ci è familiare. Anche in epoca romana veniva praticato questo gioco, chiamato al tempo Micatio (da Micare digitis, segnare con le dita), e persino Alessandro Manzoni descrive nei Promessi Sposi, i due Bravi intenti a giocare alla “Mora”. Sa Murra è praticata da secoli anche in Sardegna, e nei bar e e al termine degli spuntini, soprattutto nelle zone più interne, non è raro assistere ad accesissime partite. La prima cosa che avrete notato se avete assistito a questo vero e proprio spettacolo, è la velocità del gioco, il suo ritmo e la musicalità con la quale i giocatori scandiscono i numeri. Le regole sono semplici, giocare alla velocità richiesta un po' meno. Si gioca principalmente in due, uno contro l'altro, ma esiste anche la variante che prevede due coppie. I giocatori dichiarano un numero inferiore a dieci, e simultaneamente gettano giù il braccio. Chi indovina la somma delle dita mostrate dai due sfidanti si aggiudica un punto. Se poi la somma che si prevede è dieci, si dichiara ad alta voce “Murra!”. Il ritmo è incessante, e spesso a una terza persona è affidato il ruolo de “Su contadori”, una sorta di arbitro al quale è affidato il verdetto quando la velocità del gioco provoca discussioni sulla somma. Chi arriva prima a sedici vince, ma la rivincita e la “bella” sono praticamente obbligatorie. Detto così sembrerebbe anche semplice, ma il coinvolgimento è tale da dar vita a discussioni a volte fin troppo accese, quando magari il tasso alcolico a fine “spuntino” è alto. Questo gioco popolare, radicato in Sardegna ma anche nel Nord Italia e in particolare in Friuli, fu dichiarato illegale nel 1931 durante il fascismo, perché considerata un gioco d'azzardo. Ancora oggi sa murra è bandita nei luoghi pubblici, in base all'articolo 110 del Testo Unico per le Leggi in materia di Pubblica Sicurezza, ma è spesso tollerata tanto che esiste la Federazione del Gioco della Morra e in alcuni paesi dell'Isola vengono organizzati veri e propri tornei.
