La Villa sorge sulle tranquille rive del Brenta, che come uno specchio riflette salici, tigli e patrizie dimore di campagna appartenute a patrizi Veneziani. Arrivando a Villa Widmann si notano nel parco numerose statue del Settecento, in pietra tenera: sono ninfee e amorini. Il complesso edilizio della villa, assieme alla barchessa e all'oratorio, fu costruito agli inizi del '700 degli Serriman, nobili di origine persiana dediti al commercio. Subito dopo la metà del Settecento la villa passò ai Widmann, i quali provvidero all'ammodernamento della casa padronale. Questa fu ampliata e ristrutturata secondo il gusto rococò francese, all'interno venne ricavata una importante sala delle feste. La sala delle feste si mostra con notevole ricchezza decorativa che ha pochi eguali lungo tutto il percorso del Brenta. La sala si eleva per due piani del fabbricato e sulle pareti corre attorno un balattoio protetto da una bella ringhiera. Il ciclo pittorico è attribuito a Giuseppe Angeli e Girolamo Mengozzi Colonna. Il primo, allievo del Piazzetta, il secondo noto come il maggior quadraturista del tempo, aiuto del Tiepolo.
