Paolo, Alberto: purtroppo la situazione è arrivata ai limiti del ridicolo in alcuni posti. Come ho scritto in didascalia, le Faroe a mio modesto parere sono il culmine di questa "strategia", ma esempi si possono trovare sparsi in tutto il nord Europa (e non solo..). Da un lato capisco benissimo ed anzi sono a favore quando c'è effettivamente un intento protettivo, mirato a preservare al meglio la location, proteggere la fauna/ecosistema e l'esperienza degli abitanti/visitatori; in questi casi, sono il primo a voler pagare in quanto so bene che quei soldi servono a pagare tutto quello che c'è dietro.
Qui alle Faroe, entrando nello specifico, mi sono ritrovato a pagare 30€/persona per camminare mezz'ora su un sentiero davvero mal messo in mezzo alla cacca di pecora per arrivare al faro di Kalsoy, a pagarne altri 30€ per camminare lungo una strada sterrata per raggiungere il "lago sopra l'oceano" (Sorvagsvatn) e potrei continuare. Pagamenti che non vanno a preservare un bel niente se non il portafoglio dei proprietari terrieri 
È difficile davvero trovare una soluzione - perchè sappiamo tutti quanto il turismo possa esser distruttivo ed sia assolutamente necessario prendere delle misure per proteggere i luoghi famosi, ma dall'altro ci dovrebbe esser anche un limite all'approfittarsi dei singoli privati. Un commento non basta sicuramente, ci si potrebbe scrivere un libro sulla questione (probabilmente qualcuno l'ha già fatto!).
