Beautiful shots and technique. But neophyte a simple question ... but how do you keep still the butterflies to 50 cm?

My fascination apart :-D
Butterflies are insects to "blood" cold. They have no blood but hemolymph that unlike for example with our circulatory system does not thermoregulation. In other term slow down your metabolism if it's cold and then in the morning, when it is customary to photograph them, or are motionless or otherwise move little. From here its easy to portray.

And I thought you were using lacquer, nitrogen, attak, pins, glass plates for parallelism, instead just get up early in the morning! ... Incredible! :-D :-D
