IL MITICO ETR 252 detto Arlecchino .Questo modello di treno venne prodotto nel 1960 dalla Ernesto Breda a partire dal più conosciuto Settebello ETR 300, il rapido che collegava Roma e Milano: l'Arlecchino ne prende in prestito la foggia che richiamava quella degli aeroplani, la struttura e la livrea, ma conta solo 4 carrozze anziché 7, rendendolo più versatile e facile da mantenere. L'inaugurazione avvenne a Roma il 23 luglio 1960 per le Olimpiadi, ma il primo viaggio fu da Bologna a Venezia. Il design davvero curato, la disposizione delle sedute negli scompartimenti e i colori vivaci degli allestimenti – da cui il soprannome del treno – resero il viaggio su questo mezzo una vera e propria esperienza da vivere.
