Excellent composition of great effect, congratulations for the result obtained.
Ps: do you want to give more details of the technique used in shooting and the pp, and some more clarification even than what Robynhooz said? .... even when you talk about two-three cameras

@aleziggio Unfortunately, the
nivolet is the classic example of worsening the quality of the night sky even in the Alps in recent decades. I know very well
When I went the first time in the 90s with groups of amateur astronomers the sky was so dark that you could see almost the entire Messier catalog, even M33 in distracted!
Then they started with the Ceresole dam to illuminate the perimeter for tourists, then the street lamps in Chiampili di Sopra, finally the lighthouses of the dam for the final blow.

Amazing.
I will not add anything else so as not to be unnecessarily rhetorical.
Congratulations for the realization, as well as for the well-deserved recognition.
Best regards,
Andrea

@Mario2006 the Perseids have an apparent origin from a point located in the constellation of Perseus, but then they can furrow the entire sky. In the area all around Perseus they tend to be more frequent and leave shorter sice, while in more distant areas of the sky they tend to be less frequent but can leave longer trails. However, the fact that their apparent origin is in Perseus does not preclude seeing them in every area of the sky, anyone who has spent the past nights with his eyes to the sky can confirm that he has also seen them on the southern horizon :-)

Congratulations for the work in the field and for that in post! 8-) I was
also the same evening with Marcom to enjoy this magnificent view, compared to you I was moved further to the right.
I had never been on the Nivolet and I was not lucky enough to see it without the current artificial lighting (certainly that lighthouse on Lake Agnel is quite annoying for us photographers and not only ...), so I really imagine that those who have seen it in past years have enjoyed incredible night visibility, because even now I was impressed by the amount of stars and the visibility to the naked eye of the Milky Way.
Honestly in Italy I don't remember ever seeing a place as dark at that altitude.

@Romma69 yes, the situation as mentioned goes towards the increase of headlights and street lamps everywhere, unfortunately :-( As for the lighthouse of Lake Agnel as written, it is probably better to resume the landscape at the blue hour, when the ratio between the light of the lighthouse and the twilight is still balanced, because when the darkness is total only the light of the lighthouse remains which is 1. directional and 2. Essentially yellow, so not really exciting from a photographic point of view, and then a composite shot can lead to more pleasant results. Overall, the Nivolet is still a good place to do astrophotography, especially on the hill, at the highest point of the road, 200 meters ahead of the panoramic terrace, which is in shadow compared to the lights of the dams

Clearly the photo of the
trails is the one obtained with an exposure of 4 hours, but in which area of the sky was the camera pointed? ,,,. and then, always for my curiosity and if you want to answer, Can you share exposure data from that photo, including lens is focal length used?
Thank you
