I templi

, 1/500 f/8.0, ISO 1250, hand held. Samae San, Thailand.

Image both allegorical and cheerful despite the context taken.
Allow me to identify some analogy with the Catholic religion, and with many others, in the conviction (/hope) that death is not the end of everything. It is believed that there is an "after". Be it physical, as in the case, or spiritual.
The joy and games of the children to cheer up the "temporary" rest of the dead.
The image is also qualitatively well done with appropriate light, well-groomed verticality and accentuated depth (not only spiritual).
Hello
James

This shot is beautiful and contrasts the joy and cries of children with the silence of the dead. The caption is very interesting.
Best regards.

For our culture, the Western one, this mixture of sacred place and place of play, is a bit jarring. Nothing to object to the
4 phases of life according to the Buddhist faith that blends well with our religion, as for others to tell the truth.
It is a beautiful social document where a place dedicated to meditation and sadness for the earthly loss of a loved one should not be a place limited to oneself,
Massimo.
