Tramonto alle Saline Conti Vecchi. Oggi vi propongo una delle Foto che ho realizzato in occasione di un'altra fortunata collaborazione con l'Inner Wheel Cagliari Sud, organizzazione Internazionale con rappresentanza ONU, che ha realizzato un e-book (che probabilmente andrà in stampa nei prossimi mesi) riguardo la geo-biodiversità dei vari distretti Italiani. Durante le scorse settimane abbiamo voluto documentare la bellezza di un gioiello Naturale e di Archeologia Industriale che si trova proprio nel cuore di Cagliari. Le Salinecontivecchi per l'appunto. Nate negli anni venti per volere dell'Ing. Luigi Conti Vecchi, si estendono per 2700 ettari sullo stagno di Santa Gilla nel quale, dopo un'importante opera di bonifica, furono realizzate queste saline che sono le più longeve della Sardegna e ancora oggi producono 400mila tonnellate di sale all'anno ! Fra le variopinte vasche salanti ed evaporanti, con il loro tripudio di colori, dal Rosa al giallo fino all'arancione più intenso, vivono circa 50 specie di uccelli tra i quali ovviamente i più famosi sono i Fenicotteri. Ma vi abitano anche cormorani (in volo nella foto), Aironi e via discorrendo. Dal 2017 sono un bene FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italiano) che le ha valorizzate e riportate all'antico splendore. È infatti possibile visitare l'antico complesso industriale, dove oltre agli uffici della direzione, arredati in stile liberty, si trovano anche l'antica officina e il laboratorio chimico !
