Quante serate e vigilie di Natale sono state rischiarate dalla luce di queste lanterne nella grande cucina ottocentesca di Molin di Bucchio, prima che la corrente abbia cambiato il loro uso, trasformandole in oggetto artistico e storico decorativo del tempo che fu. La lanterna tutt'oggi viene esposta sui balconi o alle finestre, è in sostanza la luce della conoscenza, che unisce due mondi: Oriente e Occidente, è anche emblema di inclusione, se pensiamo ad esempio, che in paesi stranieri la lanterna simboleggia la luce nuova.
