Una foto che sa a pieno di nostalgia. La nostalgia di questo uomo anziano che per circa un ora ha ammirato questo scheletro architettonico oramai in disuso. Non gli ha mai staccato gli occhi di dosso e con un viso molto triste si è girato verso di me e mi ha detto “è finita , è finita per sempre!” e ha continuato ha guardare il suo ponte. Effettivamente questo era il simbolo di Middlesbrough questa giovane , ma vecchia città industriale della seconda rivoluzione industriale inglese. Lo avevo ammirato pure io in qualche film allora in pieno funzionamento e ne ero rimasto molto attratto. Lo sono andato a cercare e mi ha trasmesso pure a me molta nostalgia per un tempo che fu! Spero di trasmetterla pure a voi. Buona visione. Il Tees Transporter Bridge , chiamato anche Middlesbrough Transporter Bridge , è un ponte nel nord dell'Inghilterra . È il ponte trasportatore attraverso il fiume Tees rimasto più lungo al mondo. A partire dal 2022 il ponte non è operativo. Quando era in funzione, trasportava una gondola, sospesa al di sotto della struttura fissa, attraverso il fiume in 90 secondi. La gondola trasportava 200 persone, 9 auto o 6 auto e un minibus.
