Sino a pochi giorni fa, il colore predominante del vercellese, per estensioni a perdita d'occhio, era il giallo-oro del riso maturo pronto per la raccolta che ormai è stata ultimata quasi dappertutto. Le enormi mietitrebbia e i trattori con i cassoni pieni di risone sono stati i protagonisti indiscussi del territorio. Malgrado la siccità di quest'anno, il raccolto è andato abbastanza bene e i risicoltori hanno potuto tirare un bel sospiro di sollievo.
