In queste settimane sto avendo molte difficoltà a fotografare gli animali a causa del caldo e della siccità. Le tante ore diurne e notturne passate ad esplorare la natura mi stanno stancando e non ho ottenuto tutti i risultati sperati. Anche il mio allevamento di macaoni procede molto a rilento. Ho continuato quindi le mie esplorazioni, questa volta durate 3 giorni, confidando nella natura, che ha sempre ricompensato i miei sforzi. Finalmente, ho incontrato questo bellissimo insetto che da tempo cercavo di fotografare. Le mantidi nel mio terreno sono rarissime. L'ho trovata alle 4 di notte ai margini del bosco, mi sono fermato ad osservarla per tutta la mattinata e l'ho vista anche catturare e mangiare un'ape. Le ho fatto molti scatti anche su diversi posatoi. Questa specie, se toccata con delicatezza è molto collaborativa. Dopo aver fatto molti scatti ravvicinati al sorgere del sole, ho fatto questa macro ambientata, sfruttando il paesaggio circostante e la posizione a testa in giù della mantide
