Nel 2014, i residenti della capitale hanno celebrato l'apertura di una passeggiata galleggiante sull'Avenida del Puerto, accanto al vecchio Magazzino del tabacco e della legna, sotto gli auspici dell'Office of the City Historian nell'ambito della riprogettazione urbana di quell'area in omaggio al 495° anniversario dell'Avana.
