I bought the Sigma TC-2001 to lengthen the Sigma 100-400, but the results as sharpness I did not like and I got this idea: it's okay that the 100-400 for what it costs is more than valid, but probably doubling a cheap zoom means demanding too much ;-)
Combined with the Sigma 105 macro instead I feel good as sharpness: I do not seem to have big losses and I get up to an RR of 2 (among other things without losing the focus to infinity).
In my humble opinion, between tubes, multiplier and inversion, once the reproduction ratio of 1 has been exceeded, more than the solutions adopted, the result is conditioned by light, precision in realizing the sequence of shots for Focus Stacking and the type of subject: in my opinion not all lend themselves to being seen "big".

A mio modesto avviso, tra tubi, moltiplicatore e inversione, una volta superato il rapporto di riproduzione di 1, più che la soluzioni adottata, il risultato è condizionato da luce, precisione nel realizzare la sequenza di scatti per il Focus Stacking ed il tipo di soggetto: secondo me non tutti si prestano ad essere visti "in grande".
Le mie realizzazioni macro sono fatte in casa, con soggetti fermi, treppiede ed illuminazione artificiale. Può essere che "in movimento" il moltiplicatore renda le cose più complicate. |
