Argentiera Il villaggio dell'Argentiera nacque come borgo dei minatori che estrassero fino agli inizi del 1960 zinco, piombo e argento ( da qui il nome ), ed era uno dei giacimenti più conosciuti e sfruttati della Sardegna sin dai tempi dei Romani. Oggi fa parte del Parco Geominerario storico ed ambientale della Sardegna, nonostante il sito rivesta importanza comunitaria con imponenti progetti di recupero e ristrutturazione, il borgo attualmente si trova in uno stato di abbandono, con lavori e cantieri mai terminati e attende di essere riqualificato dal punto di vista turistico. Un vero peccato… Perché la zona per chi non la conosce, offre anche panorami di ripide scogliere color argento che si tuffano nel mare di un color turchese, calette nascoste e incontaminate il tutto immerso in una straordinaria macchia mediterranea…
