Posa B

30*600" ISO 400 Nikon D750 Full Frame Takahashi Fq 106/530 Nessun filtro Location: Manciano (Gr) 2/2/2022

I am proud of it and it is an incredible surprise for me.
I owe a lot to JuzaPhoto for having brought me closer to the fascinating world of photography some time ago, allowing me to improve myself thanks to the comparison and suggestions of authors of undisputed value.
I had not published anything for years and only recently, out of nostalgia and gratitude, I started to post some of the last shots of the new passion, that of astrophotography.
This photo has been mentioned several times by NASA, and has received numerous appreciations from various specialized groups including an Astronomy Picture of The Day by AAPOD2 but, among all, the recognition that most gratifies me is precisely this of my old and current group.

all the more ... heartfelt congratulations!!!!!
there is no icon of applause spellamani... but as if I had put it :-D

really magnificent, incredible result for a reflex ... makes dimensions well inconceivable for our understanding of the cosmos

Thanks Rasauq, Giulianophoto and Gabribocc, very kind.
I wrote Posa B although obviously it is the Stack of 30 shots from 600" to 400 iso.
I never thought I would get such results with an SLR but the D750 also in the astrophotographic field is reconfirmed as a great machine. To think, then, that each of those galaxies, even the smallest, contains millions of stars and thousands of solar systems makes us rightly reflect on how we are only a microscopic point in the immensity of the cosmos

Giamba 55 sorry if I was a bit ironic, I know it's the stacking of many frames, I, as you think, I started with the film back in 1985 and describe the photo corroborated with shooting data and PP techniques has always been a priority and when I see so many on Juza describe with a meager "pose B and tripod" I feel a bit 'defrauded in consciousness! don't have it bad though... the photo is superb, I would like to know what software you used to achieve that result with so few frames ;-) greetings Riccardo

Hello Riccardo Rasauq and thanks for the idea you gave me to specify that it was a stacking especially for friends of other genres for which it may not be familiar and congratulations to you for the beautiful wide fields made with the prodigious Samyang.
As mentioned it is the sum of 30 shots from 600 "to 400 iso in addition to Dark, flat, dark-flat and bias.
The processing was done using Pixinsight for the stack, dbe and background neutralitation and with Photoshop and Camera Raw for the sequel.
Thank you again for the compliments but, as always, the quality of the sky is the master and that of Manciano with a Sqm of almost 21.80 gave me a great hand.
For the first time, in fact, both the dbe and the denoise were almost useless.
A salutone Giambattista

Blessed are you who travel with SQM so high... here from me you travel with 19.50 average and I do not use any type of filter, so the results I got with the old glorious Eos 5D MK2 modified are the result of a careful and hateful PP, I state that I do not do dark, only bias and flat, now with the new camera QHY 183C things have improved but you can not say of the sky!!! anyway there is to fight against everything!!
If I can give a suggestion for Pixinsight; if, as I saw you used the Satrnet, for the Denoise I rely with great tranquility to the new tool EZ Process Suite, where you will find very interesting and functional menus both for the denoise and more ...
Congratulations again for the EP

I wish I had that sky from home! I live on the outskirts of Naples with a Sqm between 18 and 19 worsening because of the headlights that point right at the terrace of the house and against which even the L-Pro filter can little.
In the future I plan to buy a Qhy mono so that I can try it from home, maybe in narrowband band.
I heard about the Ez Suite tool that some friends use with satisfaction.
As a starnet instead of Pix's I used StarX Terminator which I found better.
Topaz is exceptional but in astrophotography sometimes also used carefully creates artifacts so I gave up using it by making do with that of Camera Raw

If I do not ask too much tell us something about the technique, as well as to learn to understand what kind of equipment, location, total time you need to dedicate for a similar shot.
Thank you

A photo that keeps up with the images of the extraordinary Hubble Space Telescope: a corner of the sky visible more than enough to make us a thesis in astronomy. Congratulations on the realization.

@merak.dubhe thank you for the exaggeration :) Undoubtedly it is a corner of the sky more than enough for a thesis in astronomy and in particular on galaxies. Thanks again
