St. John of Nepomuk sent on February 20, 2022 (22:49) by Dylan. 95 comments, 1075 views. [retina]

at 40mm, 1/1600 f/5.6, ISO 320, hand held. Praga, Czech Republic.

In prigione, San Giovanni Nepomuceno venne umiliato, torturato e addirittura marchiato a fuoco.

Always fascinating legends, often have multiple versions, which are assimilated by peoples and handed down beliefs to posterity, as you have well testified in your detailed caption.
Congratulations also for the beautiful composition that shows us the Saint well polished for the passage of hands to ask for a "grace".

Beautiful Dylan. In the territories where the Austrians ruled, it happens to meet statues of St. John Nepumuceno at waterways and bridges. There is also one inside the Castello Sforzesco in Milan, where there is a bridge over the inner moat.
