and I always wonder how they designed and built something that lasts over time without technology.
Compliments dear Loris for the reportage, not simple considering the environment and the light.
A warm greeting

I know you, Loris.
I know her well and I am always admired by the pure and authentic genius who guided the design. After six centuries it remains there, admirable in its beauty, formidable in its static consistency. It is always worth associating the two things, not as easy as building a pyramid (statically perfect of its own), and thinking about what were the technical availability and equipment of the time.
Mirable!
Incredible!
A pride of human genius, like the thousands of km of aqueducts built at the time of imperial Rome and still existing today and with the calculation of that 2 per thousand slope always perfect.
I know this beautiful dome and I always marvel at it.
I only ask myself one thing:
there will ever be passed Ing. Morandi?

Excellent photo(s) proposed, taken from a nice shooting point. The story, accompanied by explanatory photos, is not only meticulous and detailed, but also engaging, as a great popularizer. Congratulations, Loris.

A grandiose work, a unique and unrepeatable masterpiece, I don't think that the vast majority of engineers and architects without today's design software would be able to design something complex. Nice job Loris, hello.

Loris did a splendid job, very beautiful image with very interesting details of the building, if we then add the various captions here is the tourist guide to Brunelleschi's dome. If we think about the period in which it was designed and built it is really incredible..... congratulations Loris always very good, a warm greeting
