A Monopoli, in fase di ristrutturazione generale del vecchio centro storico, non hanno tralasciato proprio nulla, perfino comode panchine sulla passeggiata a mare, che oltre ad offrire ristoro a gambe stanche di lunghe camminnate, consentono anche di ammirare indisturbati un tramonto, un notturno, oppure un acceccante controluce. Sono arrivata di primissima mattina, per salutare il mio vecchio amico Cesare, il principe dei pescatori monopolitani, che di solito siede sulla panchina che vedete nella foto. Per ingannare l'attesa, ho scattato qualche foto, anche se la luce e l'ora non erano quelle cosiddette "canoniche". Cominciavo a preoccuparmi, quando finalmente l'ho visto arrivare, ho tirato un sospiro di sollievo e gli sono andata incontro. È sempre bello ritrovare un pezzo di passato, rinnovare nel racconto e nel ricordo episodi lontani che ormai anche se sepolti dal tempo, ci fanno compagnia.
