E 656 (Caiman) sent on January 22, 2021 (19:08) by Carlo Alfonso. 30 comments, 715 views. [retina]

, 1/30 f/8.0, ISO 100, hand held. Benevento, Italy.

Hello Carlo, a classic always beautiful to see. I very much enjoy an electric E656 model from when I was little.

Carlo I read with great enthusiasm the description of the shot. In those days I would shoot planes with Kodakrome slides, manual MAF on the lights of the airstrip and then wait for the plane to pass over them (time 1/640 sec or 1/1000 sec). Great photo and subject. Other times in every sense.

Raffaele, thanks :-) Other times, you said well! :-) Yet I was able to take more "still" photos without moving and not blurred to moving trains, compared to today, with the support of the automatic maf and stabilizers :-P
Ciao, Carlo

A difficult dynamic shot for those times.

Yes, Charles... Only the exposure is automatic with shutter priority. The rest is all manual. The C factor, on the other hand, is random ;-)
