Inside the eyes of the boys of '99 sent on November 10, 2020 (12:42) by Lorisb. 88 comments, 2125 views. [retina]

at 70mm, 1/1000 f/8.0, ISO 100, hand held.

Merak, I am honored by your assiduous presence in the discovery of my images, and I am struck by your appreciation and interest in my work, I am truly grateful.
In your family were the two people closest to you involved in this horror called war, bringing home the skin.
Yo you statement about the text for the silver medal is true, as we know they are words put in the mouth only for pleasantries.
For the date I do not want to be wrong it seems to me April 28, 2017, if it is not right I will correct. I extrapolated the text from the site of the Tuscany region of all those who received the honor, at this time the PDF does not open.

8-) sti pdf... 8-)
did he confer the honor on his uncle a hundred years later? it seems to me more likely that he received the medal, with the motivation you reported ... a hundred years ago, about.... and maybe in 2017 they reread the motivation: the rhetoric is that of a hundred years ago.

You are right Merak, it was 1920
The Tuscany region had reread the motivation in 2017

A truly exciting and moving testimony, very good at telling a sad story both personal and collective, applause to you for the splendid tribute to the fallen and for the beautiful photo.
Congratulations

Roberto, again thanks for participating, I am pleased to read your emotion for the photographic story, it means that the work I did served to move within us a feeling that did not belong to us for some time.
Greetings, Loris
