Ho vissuto 12 anni a Roma e non avevo mai visto questo posto, e per mquesto altri siti a me sconosciuti, ringrazio di cuore l'amico Jo, guida molto preparata e soprattutto disponibile. ------------ Ecco un po' di storia di questa location da "Roma Segreta". Il Passetto del Biscione, bellissimo tunnel di passaggio a due passi da Campo de fiori, che unisce via di Grotta Pinta con piazza del Biscione, a pochi metri da Campo de' Fiori, è tornato a splendere grazie a un lungo intervento di restauro. Una mini-galleria che in epoca romana collegava la cavea del Teatro di Pompeo con l'esterno. Il passaggio è stato completamente ripulito e ridipinto. Sono state completate le parti mancanti degli affreschi, poiché nel disegno originario erano ancora visibili forme e figure facilmente riproducibili. Immagini sacre in un piccolo transito coperto che, in passato, aveva una forte impronta devozionale. Nel Passetto del Biscione, infatti, un tempo era custodita l'edicola della Madonna della Misericordia del Pulzone, oggi conservata nella chiesa di San Carlo ai Catinari, nei pressi di via Arenula. «Non molti sanno che proprio in questo Passetto è nato il detto romano “andare a cercare Maria per Roma”», l'affresco della Madonna era infatti così nascosto dal piccolo tunnel che per trovarlo bisognava improvvisare una vera e propria caccia al tesoro. ----------- Un grande e sincero grazie a chi vorrà fermarsi a commentare questa foto, lasciando un segno del suo gradito passaggio.
