La civetta ha recuperato il geco da un sasso dove l'aveva sicuramente lasciato dopo la predazione. Le formiche nel frattempo ne stavano approfittando sino a quando la civetta ha deciso che era arrivato il momento della colazione.

Well Joseph, scrolling through the gallery, turning and turning you around I could only pass to comment on one of your beautiful owls :-D.
This is really lovely, great catch and immortalized moment.
And above all (you know this ;-) great admiration for all the passion and patience behind your every shot.

Thank you Irene!! Surely patience is a determining factor in the naturalistic photographer, as well as respect for the observed species. Then let's not forget a certain C factor :-D

Joseph, the C factor :-D plays a primary role for a Sunday photographer like me, who is if anything eating an ice cream by the lake and is seen passing two meters a kite, which is if anything chipping the shore to the lake where there are only the classic coots and here comes a hawk that has just caught a fish. This is the real C factor :-D
When you get up at dawn and you place yourself inside a self-built shed, after days of studying the territory and monitoring, and after hours of waiting you finally manage to photograph an owl that caught a gecko is not factor C :-D
Others Joseph, if it were only Factor C I invite you to get an ice cream between the shores of Lake Garda or Como and you will see that sooner or later without effort some subject flutters over your head :-D

Irene but of the many stakeouts only a few are "fruitful", because you never know what can happen, that's why I also talk about luck or chance ;-)
