Quest'alta scogliera si trova nella costa occidentale della Sardegna, battuta spesso dai venti di Maestrale che soffia impetuoso in tutti i periodi dell'anno, qui siamo in prossimità di Punta Foghe nel comune di Tresnuraghes. La scogliera si presenta costituita da grandi falesie e vari isolotti. La località solitaria si apre ad una vista incantevole sul mare e sulle alte falesie rocciose. - - - - - - - - - - - - La torre di Foghe – Situata nel caratteristico promontorio di Punta Foghe, a guardia della foce del Riu Mannu. Fu elevata nel 1580, per il controllo di un importante punto di rifornimento d'acqua di pescatori e corsari. Una relazione del 1786 spiegava l'importanza di questo caposaldo: “la torre di Foghedoglia ritrovasi in un sito importantissimo, perché domina un porto soggetto all'incursioni de Barbareschi, e dove i bastimenti reconsi per la provvista dell'acqua di quel fiume”. Inoltre, dai suoi 70 metri di quota aveva un campo visivo di Km 30 ed era in contatto con le torri di Ischia Ruia, Columbargia e di Capo Nieddu. La foto è stata scattata nel tardo pomeriggio a mano libera e con un tempo veloce perché le raffiche di vento non consentivano l'uso del cavalletto che di solito io preferisco alla mano libera nei paesaggi.
