1/250 f/4.2, ISO 125, hand held. Messina, Italy.

Amazing colors, gorgeous shooting :-o
Amazing photo!
... incredibly fantastic the tiny little fish peeping between protective tentacles.
(I met and photographed a large specimen while floating off the lighthouse of the Lido of Venice .)
the caption is very interesting.
Many compliments!! :-P

Hello Paul. Little Nikon is underwater and allows for special shots like this.
At first I would throw 99 out of 100 images, then slowly I learned to get decent pictures of them. The difficulties are not so much of the machine, but of the underwater photo in general, especially if performed in freediving.
Colors are real, helped by the shallow depth and therefore good light.
The little fish, between the coils, actually: a surprise on the monitor
Thank you very much for your beautiful comment and congratulations, even to the caption.

Hello Juliet, I was very pleased to read your beautiful comment, I'm very glad you liked this picture.
The minnow, as already written was a surprise in monitor vision, on the small camera display, I had not seen it. Other times I'd seen them circling around these jellyfish, but hidden inside, it's the first time.
I'm not surprised you saw it in Venice, now they're a reality, in the Mediterranean.
Thank you very much for your beautiful words to comment also on the caption and for the always very welcome compliments.

Stunning specimen! I know that a communiqué was issued this summer to protect the species on our shores... I hope it's served, it's really a beauty.
Congratulations to you for the great quality of the shot, definitely not easy , but the result is splendid.
I don't know your camera, it's underwater I suppose...
A greeting
Darcy
