La Scala dei Turchi è una falesia bianca come il latte che si erge a strapiombo sul mare che si trova a Realmonte, in provincia di Agrigento, e che sembra scolpita dalla sapiente mano di un artista, protegge alcune tra le più belle spiagge della Sicilia. È costituita da una roccia sedimentaria di natura calcarea ed argillosa, la marna, dal caratteristico colore bianco. La Scala dei Turchi sembra sospesa tra cielo e mare, e si trova non troppo distante da Porto Empedocle. Il suo nome è legato alla leggenda secondo cui il luogo era il riparo delle navi turche i quali salivano i gradoni nella roccia per depredare i luoghi lungo la costa. La tipica forma a scalinata è dovuta al processo di erosione causato da acqua e vento.
