at 22mm, 1/2000 f/16.0, ISO 1600, hand held. Rainbow Mountain , Peru.

#arcobaleno #rainbow

Thank you Commissioner... to be precise we left at 07.00 from Manu NP (Amazon) at 250mt, we reached Cusco (3800mt) at 6pm, slept and at 07.00 we left for the Rainbow Mountains, at 10.30 we were at the parking lot at about 4600mt.
I recommend at least a whole day in Cusco to get used to the altitude... It was really hard for us... But SPETTACOLARE!

it's too little one day Fabio ,I'm not a mountain expert but after doing Peru,Bolivia, ladakh a little experience I gained for the heights (and there is no diamox that holds)
anyway I'm glad that everything went for the best and that I could enjoy a similar spectacle.
a greeting
Simone

... You're right Simone... (of course also taken the Diamox)... but as you say, you needed an extra day or two...
Anyway we survived :-P
It was probably our most beautiful ride around Peru :-P

Magnificent spectacle of nature, for which it was definitely worth dealing with the toils you described. Congratulations.

;-) A multitude of colors for these mountains that I could never see despite my walking in Peru in different years 1985 1990 1993 organizing trekking in the Andean mountain.
In this shot you can see the care in the naturalness of the colors and the beautiful overall vision
Congratulations ;-)

Thank you friends!
Mark, you couldn't see them because they were still covered in snow at the time.
Good day

I would gladly post a picture of my travel companion Terry, relating to the Serran'a de Hornocal which is the equivalent, even by altitude, of what you have seen, but in Argentine territory, still close to the Bolivian and Chilean borders; seems like a patchwork motif created by Missoni :-o
Who will have inspired who? :-)

Fatigue doesn't matter...
it matters what your eyes have admired
one of the most beautiful and exciting places ever seen... these mountains are worth the trip to Peru, a real sight!!! It has been a few years since they were visible, because of the global warming, the snow that covered them melted... and these magnificent rocks of seven colors emerged.

of rare beauty
Biz
