Beautiful image, too bad for how it ended!
Tu, however, you tried to do what you could and help them.
Compliments, bye, Alessandro

A very sad story, with an ending that we all wanted different, life also knows how to be cruel.
Compliments for your attempt to save them and for the photo...... greetings.

a very beautiful and tender image, ... saddening of course, to know that the brood did not make it to survive.
Salute,
Bo

Nice shot Pinitti; the story, on the other hand, is not a happy ending. Let's hope they are in heaven too.

Near my house there is a park with trees and bushes and during spring and summer it is not difficult ... after some violent storms... find some nests on the ground with chicks still alive.
unfortunately... even repositioning the nests on the branches... It is always very unlikely that parents will take care of their little ones again... :-(

He, dear Pinniti, I share your displeasure, in spring, in the first days following the birth of the chicks of the various species of birds and animals in general, some predators slaughter pullets in the nests, it is the law of nature, in this case who knows why it had fallen, perhaps the wind or the mother had not anchored it well or both causes. Congratulations for the document, a warm greeting

When the birds are disturbed in the nest, they run away and you don't see them anymore! In fact, people are told never to approach the nests with pullets!! You did everything possible but nature is not joking!! Beautiful picture!

I have a doubt, are you sure he had fallen from the tree?
The material of which it is composed dry stems of various grasses quite decomposed without an anchoring project to a possible branch / leaves seems more suitable for species that nest on the ground, not knowing anything I doubt that it could be a nest made on the ground, if it were so put it on the tree was a mistake.
Then you were there and you will have made your evaluations

Yes Sigismondi, it had fallen from a tree, there on the ground where I found it was an avenue with grass and well-kept flower beds, almost impossible to nest on the ground, hello and thanks for the comment.
