Situato lungo la strada provinciale 556 che da Stia conduce a Londa, Molin di Bucchio è tra i più antichi mulini dell'intero territorio Casentinese. Appartenuto ai conti Guidi di Porciano, oltre all'attività di molitura portata avanti dalla famiglia Bucchi per oltre 700 anni, Molin di Bucchio è stato anche sede di un'importante troticoltura. PERCHE' VISITARLO Per scoprire il primo mulino sull'Arno, un luogo dimenticato dal tempo in cui si respira storia e vita: i graffiti di Pietro (l'ultimo mugnaio del mulino), l'antica cucina lastricata, il fuoco sempre acceso come la passione dei proprietari nel custodire e tramandare questo mondo. Un'occasione per visitare il luogo dove perse la vita il primo partigiano in terra aretina e per conoscere i nuovi progetti per il futuro come il recupero del vicino allevamento di trote a cura di un gruppo di giovani. L'ECOMUSEO Molin di Bucchio è il primo mulino che s'incontra nel fiume Arno. Sin dal Medioevo questa zona è stata segnata dalla presenza di opifici idraulici controllati molto probabilmente dalla famiglia feudale dei conti Guidi. Oltre all'attività di molitura portata avanti per secoli dalla famiglia Bucchi, la località è stata anche sede di un'importante troticoltura. Il mulino ha funzionato regolarmente fino al 1955 e saltuariamente fino al 1960. L'ultimo mugnaio è stato Pietro Bucchi detto “Pietrone”.
