C'è chi vorrebbe ristrutturarlo come albergo, chi adibirlo a centro culturale polivalente, chi invece propone un semplice restauro conservativo, così da bloccare il lento, inesorabile degrado verso il quale va incontro, aggredito dal vento, dalla salsedine, dalla vegetazione.
In atto il sito sarebbe chiuso con divieto di accesso, essendo a rischio di crollo, di fatto la recinzione è mancante in più parti e ci si può accedere ed entrare. Rimaste le mura perimetrali e quelle che dividono, come una chiesa: la navata centrale dalle due laterali. Presenti ancora i forni, circolari e la ciminiera in mattoni.
Mi auguro che prima che il tempo la distrugga totalmente, si decida il suo destino e la si restauri, in quanto sicuramente opera meritevole.
