Thank you Marco. It is you, "La Mannara" in the name of the books of Camilleri and in the fiction of the Commissioner Montalbano.
in the literary and cinematic fiction, it had to respond to a lost site, place of malbusiness, because isolated.
Furnace pen, responds today only in part to this requirement: it is in fact far from other residential constructions, but since it became famous, at least during the day, is a destination of curious and tourists, being part of tours more or less organized that touch the stages of the places of Montalbano, theatres of the filmed scenes and several times seen on TV.
Thank you so much for your nice comment and compliments.

Hello Roberto. I am happy you enjoyed this shot and its caption. This furnace, has architecture reminiscent of a cathedral and the suggestion of being built very close to the sea.
Today in a state of abandonment has been revalued by the fiction on the Inspector Montalbano. Hopefully this brings you luck and someone will work if not for a restoration, at least for a security, so that it is not destroyed by time.
Thank you so much for your nice comment and for the compliments
a dear greeting
