Bosa - Il castello dei Malaspina domina la cittadina di Bosa dal colle di Serravalle. Fu edificato nel 1112 (data stabilita dal Fara ma recentemente contestata e spostata al XIII secolo) dai marchesi Malaspina, originari della Lunigiana. In seguito alla sua costruzione, gli abitanti della Bosa Vetus, ubicata nei pressi della chiesa di San Pietro, si trasferirono sotto il castello e lì costruirono le proprie abitazioni per ottenerne protezione, dando così origine al borgo tardo medioevale di sa Costa. Il castello ha subito, nel corso dei secoli, numerose modifiche. Al 1300 risale la realizzazione della torre maestra del mastio, ad opera di Giovanni Càpula, e un'ulteriore fortificazione del maniero in previsione dell'imminente attacco aragonese. Probabilmente durante il regno di Alfonso il Magnanimo, nel XV sec., venne recintato il colle, edificate le due torri poligonali e costruita la chiesetta dedicata all'inizio a San Giovanni, in seguito a S. Andrea e più recentemente a Nostra Signora di Regnos Altos. Nella seconda metà del 1600 la Città Regia di Bosa risultava completamente protetta dalle mura . Nel 1800 vi fu il primo restauro ad opera di Filippo Vivanet e di Dionigi Scano. Al castello si arriva tramite s'Iscala 'e sa rosa e s'Iscala longa, due lunghe scalinate poste ad est e a ovest del borgo, oppure attraverso s'Iscala 'e s'ainu che percorre le strette vie e ancora, in macchina, imboccando la strada che costeggia il cimitero. www.bosaonline.com
