#Chiese #Jura Jura4

Thanks Rinaldo, the ideal would be to be able to access the chapel so as to have the opportunity to position themselves at best but given the delicacy of ancient works do not think it is possible. The wrought iron gratings on the windows prevented me from positioning the goal at the perfect center with respect to the altar with the consequence that there is little notice of the lack of symmetry at the base of the steps.
I am glad your clarification about artistic choices. Perhaps this possibility was given in the realization of the last station of the Via Crucis as useful for the transmission of a message of faith to the pilgrims at a time when the sources of information were still limited to the most affluent classes.
a dear greeting.

Beautiful realization, both for the work and for the shot. The statues are very expressive and well-crafted. Congratulations. Good Sunday. :-)

QUOTAS Perhaps this possibility was given in the realization of the last station of the Via Crucis as useful for the transmission of a message of faith to the pilgrims at a time when the sources of information were still limited to the most affluent classes. /QUOTE Very likely, the images were the bible of the poor. See Giotto's frescoes in the Basilica of St. Francis ;-)

The place I know him very well, unique.
One more reason to appreciate the quality of the shot that, on the spot, seems almost impossible.
Congratulations.

I am pleased Paul who appreciate the Sacro Monte of Varese, one of the city's symbolic places and dear to the from Varese as much as to the many pilgrims who visit him every year.
Looking at the photo, although it is not without defects, it seems strange to me to have managed to pull out a readable and barely presentable, knowing how dark are the chapels inside and how much bother the bars on the Windows :-/
Thanks for the compliments.
