Molfetta (BA)..... Piazzetta Madonna delle rose giardino pubblico centro città..... Molfetta non è solo il paese delle belle donne, come recita un proverbio locale ma anche la casa di migliaia di pappagalli. Già, proprio così. Basta abbassare i finestrini dell'auto per sentirli. E lo può giurare Renato Tinelli che vive a Molfetta dagli anni ottanta e che proprio non ne può più del continuo ciangottare degli amici, si fa per dire, volatili. E le ha provate proprio tutte per liberarsi di questi ospiti, per così dire, un po' scomodi. Un diceria popolare racconta di due pappagalli sfuggiti ad una signora del posto. I due si sarebbero rifugiati in una villa nella periferia di Molfetta. E da li sarebbe partita la lunga dinastia dei pappagalli di Molfetta. Lunga, ma proprio lunga dato questi pappagalli si riproducono per tutto l'anno e vivono per oltre 50 anni. Ciliegina sulla torta, appartengono alla famiglia dei "Monacus Monacus", specie protetta. Quindi non si toccano. Ora c'è da capire se, dopo aver già oltrepassato i confini di Molfetta spingendosi anche su Bisceglie, non decidano di fare una capatina anche nel capoluogo pugliese.
