Gigantesche onde bianche nel bel mezzo della Pianura Padana. La nuova stazione dell'alta velocità di Reggio Emilia, la Mediopadana, è un'enorme cattedrale dal design avveniristico ideata dall'architetto Santiago Calatrava. E' composta da 19 moduli, ciascuno lungo 25,4 metri, costituiti da una successione di 25 portali d'acciaio sfalsati e distanziati a un metro l'uno dall'altro che danno quel particolare 'effetto onda'. Per realizzarla sono servite circa 14mila tonnellate di acciaio una volta e mezzo il peso della Torre Eiffel.
