Beautiful realization Stefano, your caption, took me a bit far in time, I have not got to use this, unfortunately, but I used a
Zenza Bronica SQ, for a friend who did this job, a beautiful machine, but the one you list and the top. I had the opportunity to see prints made with this ,, and also with the biotope ,, what to say, THE REAL PHOTOGRAPHY, at the time if you did not have a great mastery with this format, and technical, professional, with the cabbage! take pictures "decent" now all you improvise "professional photographers" with the digital, you understand, even if they buy roads, expensive, expensive, but in my humble opinion, it takes "emotion and creativity" to deepen this "passion" "

EXCELLENT DOCUMENT, COMPLIMENTS.
Antonio.

I thank you for the positive and welcome comments. Best wishes. Stephen

Antonio, the space of the caption is clearly what it is, even a minimal synthesis of the history of medium format cameras would require pages and pages ... In my small list should be added, in addition to Zenza Bronica, Hasselblad, Mamiya, Pentax, Contax, Plaubel, Sinar, Kiev, Pentacon Six, Exakta, Lubitel .....
The machines, just like today, are just tools and, thankfully, can not in any way replace the creativity and the heart of the photographer. An artist will always find his way of expression and free his creativity by any means. In the same way, the most sophisticated instrument will not be able tove; never replace the heart and the feeling of an artist.

It seems to me that the old Tamron still defends himself very well, Alberto, you then know him ...
In the past it was almost always attached to my Contax for its quality and flexibility, now it has begun to give me satisfaction. I thank you for the welcome comments.

You made me relive a remnant of my past as an amateur photographer. I was a happy owner of this excellent quality level: I was saddened to have lost it in a wood to photograph mushrooms on 6x6 dia (I had recovered a series of additional original Yashica rare lenses to find on the market. ... disappeared! I only hope that the new owner has made good use of it, good to re-propose these old glories Stefano.
bye gios ;-)

I'm glad you confirm the excellent quality of this wonderful biottica, but I'm sorry to have rekindled the sad memory of the loss of the car. Also for me this Yashica represents a phase of my photographic experience and not only. I sincerely thank you for your welcome comments and for sharing our experiences, Gios.

Excellent photo, splendid specimen of reflex biottica, in excellent condition. This image has sparked a real rain of amarcord: I have never used it, but it must have been a true cult in its day .... compliments, Stefano.

The Rolleiflex and the Hasselblad, undisputed medium-sized queens, were for professionals, for the people of the fans there were all the others; in that vast and fought panorama the Yashica stood out for its great optical and mechanical quality. Certainly the single-lens reflex cameras were unbeatable for practicality and flexibility but the 6x6cm film produced much more detailed and plastic images and lent themselves better to being enlarged.
A big thank you from the heart, Giovanni.

Nostalgia with the awareness that the past is behind us, that we must live the present with our eyes turned to the future, with new projects and the dream of new emotions.
A big thank you, Giorgio.

Beautiful and charming, shooting very well with sharpness at the top, I think it was very convenient to have the shot of the cockpit.

Bravo Stefano, another beautiful machine in your collection, I would say in excellent condition, in a historic format that has always had great charm and great image quality. Years ago, I saw an enthusiast who was shooting with a similar Yashica, but with a gestural movement that was an art, almost a dance ..... After a few months I had the pleasure and the luck to know him and see some of his shots. White-blacks of rare beauty and quality, a great definition. A lady car and congratulations to those who knew how to use them, and as I think, even to develop the photos, the masters, with a wealth of experience to be scary. But nowadays? Hi Andrea.

Thank you so much for appreciating it, Renzo. The large viewfinder in the cockpit was, for me, very useful for relatively static scenes, for sports or action shots better than the mono-lens reflex, which had the advantage of lightness and interchangeability of the optics, even specialized.
Medium-format cameras were favored by wedding, fashion and still life photographers, the small 24x36 (reflex and even better Leica rangefinder) were mandatory for war reporters and action journalists.
Hi Stefano
