Erta Ale, lago di lava perenne. Scoperto per la prima volta nel 1967 da una spedizione italo-francese. Qui si può osservare,straordinariamente da vicino, il processo di risalita dei magmi dal mantello terrestre! Un fenomeno antico quanto il nostro pianeta. E' questo paesaggio, che un'ipotetico osservatore avrebbe potuto ammirare miliardi di anni fa in una terra primordiale.
