Beautiful capture ... in avifauna, with static subjects, especially if close together it is preferable to close the diaphragm at least at f8 and adjust the iso to have enough time to freeze the subject.
In this picture, closing the diaphragm at f8-f10 and adapting the iso, probably the head would probably fall into the depth of field and would therefore be in focus.
