The Fisherman and The Fireworks. sent on October 02, 2017 (14:29) by Giuseppe.Cristofalo. 36 comments, 1156 views. [retina]

, tripod. Palermo, Italy.

Fantastic shot! ok, now that I caught your attention :-D no da, seriously, I understand your intent, you've done well to choose the boat as much as possible. Could there be more room underneath? Yes, it would have been better. But the price to pay was to break the fires upwards? Then it's better to stay that way. Then personally I think a big press makes justice to the shot, that shoots at the fires see millions, this is particular, the cascade of the fires invites to look down to find the fisherman. Great noise management, absent compared to others I've seen. I also saw the photo of the lighting management, so it is 8-)

Compliments! Always very technical, I do not know where to start from: -D.
Given the importance of the technique in this photo, the exif data would help constructive comment ... and they would teach build! ;-)

The fires are beautiful, but a bit of black around them would make them even more obvious, so you sat a bit saturated.
The attraction element, the boat, is relegated to a somewhat overly deflated position. It would have been nice to have more reflections in the water.
Having said that, I conclude by saying that it is a valuable step.

Thinking about the title, I thought the privileged spectator was the photographer and not the fisherman, cho I saw right away, but being so small I did not seem so important in the image.
The fires are gorgeous and thus resembled from the bottom they look majestic; I would also say that the whites are burned, but the indicators you have published speak plainly, maybe it's just a limit to my monitor. It would be useful to add click data.

thanks a lot for comment.
the fires did not resume from below, I was about 150 meters away, and I had to use the telephoto lens.
if I had been closer the whole thing would have seemed less "compressed", giving a more touch to the shot!

In my opinion, it's a really cool shot, with all-round shots making the comparison between the little fisherman down and the remarkable vertical development of the fires very well. Technically it's perfect, I really can not find a fault worth reporting! Bravo! 8-)
