Non è un caso, che la corona di spine rappresenti la Crocifissione di Gesù il venerdì Santo. Le spine, nell'immaginario collettivo sono sinonimo di dolore e di sofferenza. Quando appena due settimane fa avevo fotografato il particolare delle spine di questo splendido esemplare di pachycereus, mai avrei pensato che lo avrei dovuto abbinare al dolore delle famiglie che hanno perso un figlio o una figlia nell'ultimo ignobile attentato di Manchester. Per me ognuna di queste spine, rappresenta un dolore immenso inferto ai famigliari di questi ragazzi stroncati dalla morte.
