, 30 sec f/5.0, ISO 6400, tripod.

// During the landscape workshop of September 8 we have seen two climbers camping on one of the Three Peaks of Lavaredo. Here one of the climbers moved his torch to look at the wall; in this occasion I have tested the limits of Canon 7D: the photo has been taken at ISO 6400. With a careful post processing I got a good result. #NightPhotos #MilkyWay #Notturno

Dear Emanuele, propio is a great idea ..... but I needed someone like you in that smanetta PP magician.
(Though I know that you do I copy it ...:-D)

Recently I was reviewing your Photoshop tutorial on CD-ROM in a few years ago .... a gold mine of knowledge on the PP.
Very well done and very useful for the ignorant like me who have little time to devote to photography.
Maybe we are the world's most talented photographers of you as a pure photographic technique .... but I think it is difficult to find one that beats you in PP.
Thanks anyway for sharing! That is the great quality 'that marks you.

Great shot, of course sleep on must have been really nice, maybe the wall is not the best place, but the view must have been wonderful.

Beautiful ... beautiful ...
A wise pp can only to improve a picture!
E. I wanted to ask one thing, but according to you - that you've been there many times - such a thing as P.Parcellara you can do it, or do you think there is too much light pollution of V. Trebbia.

Work and amazing photos!
What do you think of providing a shot and see what techniques they use others? Not long ago had proposed something about the sharpness ..... :-P:-P

Regardless of how the picture is made in terms of reducing noise or anything that pays is unusual composition of the whole and the particularity of the camp caught. The picture changes, out of the box if the photographer strives in everything.
You walk along this long road will give you the satisfaction you deserve!

Given that achieve a similar result from a raw file taken a 7D at 6400 ISO for 30 seconds and 'something absolutely incredible, almost miraculous, (I with the 7D I'm in difficolta'già to 800 iso), I agree with all those who have asked for a tutorial for this type of situation.
That said, however, I can not say that the photo I like. The sky is too blue and the stars too much contrast. Faint stars appear bluish all without distinction, which can not be. Also, in the low light of the sky and the stars seem to be surrounded by a dark halo annoying.
With great esteem and unchanged
hello, giorgio

:-D Hello I own the 7D, they are forced to use low ISO even in the most dynamic photo, Immortalize a flight is not easy with iso low. I do not use pp and nn shooting raw clearly
and so I can not delete the pixels that are evident at high iso. Possible that there is a way (secret) to exploit high iso this spectacular car? A greeting and thanks? ..... PS quoto Giorgio Peruzzi ........... hello Duccia

Sorry Duccia but I think you're wrong approach to digital photography ... you'll get a lot more satisfaction with a bridge that with an SLR. Hello

but 'reading the last comments especially the penultimate .... I have come a bit' chills ..
read a comment on a limb trying to figure out how to raise a defect without PP clear to all of the 7 .... iso iso and iso ...
conzigliare a bridge ...... better not continuous ........ hello Mnulinali ... :-( :-( :-(

Thank you all for the comments! :-)

Do not I use pp and nn shooting raw clearly

Mmulinai was a bit abrupt, but I agree that you may greatly improve the results of shooting in RAW and developing good photos, or does not exploit the full potential of SLR.

do you think - that you've been there many times - such a thing as P.Parcellara you can do it

I do not know, I never tried to go there late at night, but I think so.

when organizing a workshop in Rome Photoshop?

end of February or beginning of March!

We did not stop to sleep, we went back to the 23:30
For the period I do not know, I think it's good all year, mostly dependent on the weather.

Juza Hello, I'm pleased that you've responded and, what I say I know, but I also believe that even after three years of shooting and with minimal time available I have made some progress. I think, but for me, I have to first understand the potential that can take advantage of these beautiful boxes, with strengths and weaknesses. I know that I can ever do nn beautiful shots at high ISO, but looking at my photos and comments of the other members I feel that I'm using seven well ........ I feel ready yet nn and pp raw x. Juza ..... members are helping me to grow so much, and I thank them all, I'm sorry that someone, thankfully few, nn fail to understand the above, and as you say, are a bit 'rough, say so, the comments are constructive for everyone when made sense and respect. Thanks again good light Duccia

Wow, congratulations! The scene is great and also the comparison between the crop! :-D
I wanted to ask: compared to the photo of the Milky Way at 3200 ISO with the 40D ( ) This sounds very much like the sound better, it's because the 7D is better than more than 1 stop or because you've improved your skills in PP?

There are a number of factors:

1) the 7D is certainly less rumorsa the 40D (I would say about 0.5 stop better, perhaps one full stop if you resize to 10MP)

2) I improved my techniques to reduce noise

3) are much improved noise reduction software
