The market town of Stroud in the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, last Saturday. A teenage girl hurries downhill, an elderly resident looks on with annoyed concern at something he disapproves of and a fluffy dog with a knitted coat looks at the visiting photographer. A grabbed shot, whilst talking keenly to the lovely Eva, an arty, slightly bohemian local woman who was very keen to tell me all about her town. The 18-140mm Nikkor is a great lens for quick pick up and shoot, but rather severe pincushion distortion at only 46mm took rather too much correction and its consequences on the architectural balance on this complex image as a whole. #BlackAndWhite
