at 250mm, 1/400 f/8.0, ISO 1000, hand held.

Rushed off out this afternoon to get a quick glimpse of the forecast sunshine, but blink and you'd miss it - Except, I did not blink but still seemed to miss it. The last bus back meant I only had half an hour on top of the hill, not long enough and it very soon became dull dull dull again. I have not upped the verdant greens here, though I did reduce the heavy cold blue cast that blighted the very top of the image. #Patterns

Hey Tim! Do you have spring up there in GB? It's that green. Nice to see that as here in CH all is white, brown, black and a dirty green.
We need spring.

A great series of parallel lines, Tim, and beautiful bands of colour. I love the way your eye scours the countryside until you find the areas that work together harmoniously!

Your new picture on your profile page is most impressive, too!

Lots of lovely positive comments, everybody - for which I thank you all most kindly for - cheers, as always! I'm so glad that the hedge has been so neatly cut, as that surely adds hugely to the composition and flow of the image.

Chris - I'm sure you know that it's full and darkest winter in England now and especially in the south, where I am, snow is getting more and more seldom, so we rarely have a white landscape (which would be nice for photos, of course!). However, right now, we are having heavy rain EVERY day, which makes for lush green vegetation and I expect the farmer has laid down fertiliser too, making the grass here extra verdant.

The verdant green assist in making the image 'pop' under the difficult lighting conditions. Also assists in enhancing the undulations.

Caterina, I'm really so pleased that you liked it, the weather and conditions made for all other photos and subjects to be very boring indeed.
