La popolazione disperata, vide come unico rimedio alla fame, alla disoccupazione e la miseria in generale, un veterano Austriaco della prima grande guerra. Il suo nome era Adolf Hitler. Purtroppo fu facile per lui di addossare la colpa della miseria tedesca agli Ebrei, questi infatti, rispetto a molti tedeschi, vivevano in modo agiato in quanto si dedicavano al commercio e a svariati settori finanziari.
