empty church sent on May 25, 2016 (22:06) by Fiosco. 45 comments, 1876 views. [retina]

at 18mm, 1/30 f/4.0, ISO 400, hand held.

Thanks for the ride

Pier88, there was little light and the D3100 gave me little security beyond 400ISO. Then I wanted to make a deliberately instinctive shooting, as I wrote in the caption, because it came to this church I did not expect such a view and I wanted the pictures convey this "wonder". In part I succeeded and partly I made too many mistakes. Certainly do it again with the experience gained during these months would be different, but the pictures, situations, opportunities, especially the feelings pass and go away ...

Click and interesting location, the ingredients are there. I find it very very poor sharpness: maybe there is the shake-that makes you lose detail. I find it a bit 'forced explanation, although there is convincing evidence to suggest that the wonder is not abandoned and does not pass, in my opinion, your feeling during shooting. In my opinion a b / n a po'aggressivo could help make the "dramatic" move.

Look, technical comments I would not make it (because there is no need, for no other reason)
I can tell you is that I find it very natural (of course, the details are a bit ' "washed out" as he said Pandamonium)
and it does almost seem to be there. In the end she get the idea of ??what you are looking for a photo that was not technically perfect or effect, saying to you that you did quite well.

Thanks Philip and Paul, I'm glad you both enjoyed this shot though with different nuances. A greeting

And 'an empty place that is not really empty.

I see is a sign that the chairs of the benches. In short, the idea is good, but unfortunately for how rake is not an empty church. You could call it "extreme minimalism", then the idea of ??a church with just two benches and two chairs would be clearer immediately.

technical discourse: I see f / 4 and 1/30 to 18 mm of APSC, you're freehand limit. I would have preferred a greater depth of field.

Nice picture

The last line I am heartened! Thanks Elraw the title you suggest I do if I can not, there is everything. In fact I could prepare the scene and shot calmly. Unfortunately it is a church and is not otherwise desecrated a thought to a model I would.

Figured. ;-)

Having said that if it had been a former church and actually empty would be a source of great inspiration, for me at least.

Excellent set design ... I love it ...
Technically, as you have already said they took the stand and smaller apertures ...
It also wanted a greater symmetry imho taking more centrally ...
Ps You notice an attempt to correct the distortions that have led to the exact opposite with the columns that become divergent: -o even a little storta..ma ..it overall it is a nice document .... ;-)

I do not know, is not that attracts me a lot, let's start with the title: extreme minimalism, I expected a minimal shutter release, then I understood that to mean minimalism chairs in the Church. So now I had made a different idea of ??the shot (for those who say that the title does not count :-D).
The picture itself I do not like the fact that it is unbalanced as pdr, I wanted a head shot with those chairs to lord.
Instead the good color rendering and light.

Hello Marco was the original title Empty Church then many have pointed out to me that it was not appropriate, Elraw in particular offered me "extreme minimalism" and I did mine. A shot with different defects, a "wrong" error transmits something. As I said I will return with more awareness. ;-)

You could name it after the Coscarella. Type: "empty inside" ...?

It's not bad but I would have gone more 'forward, latrali parties did not tell me anything and get closer'd have more detail, you should go back with the stand still to make these shots go to f8 at least, for the rest beautiful ...
