Seeing Knowing (Vedere Conoscere), 2004, è invece un'opera ideata da Joseph Kosuth appositamente per gli spazi del Museo. Pensata in due parti in ideale dialogo tra loro, l'opera è costituita da due pannelli illuminati, uno installato all'aperto sul tetto dell'edificio chiamato Manica Lunga, l'altro posizionato all'interno, al terzo piano del Castello. In ambedue i pannelli si può leggere ? in quello esterno in italiano, nell'altro in inglese ? la seguente frase tratta dagli scritti del filosofo Giovanbattista Vico (1668-1744): "Fa' vero ciò che tu vuoi conoscere; ed io, in conoscere il vero che mi avete proposto il farò, talché non mi resta in conto alcuno da dubitarne, perché io stesso l'ho fatto". Un sistema utilizzato solitamente per una comunicazione di tipo pubblicitario e promozionale diventa così mezzo per la diffusione di un enunciato filosofico che fa proprio della conoscenza e dell'importanza dell'atto del conoscere la materia prima per la comprensione della vera natura dell'esistenza.
