#HDR #Chiese #Interni #BiancoeNero #BlackAndWhite #Churches La costruzione della Chiesa di S.Giorgio Martire a Petrella Tifernina(CB) risale al 1211. Dal Web si apprende che nel borgo, situato nella direttrice Roma-Gerusalemme, facevano meta pellegrini provenienti dall'Italia centrale-settentrionale, diretti appunto a Gerusalemme. Si apprende anche che la sacra sindone, diretta a Roma, ha fatto sosta anche in questa chiesa dove oggi vi e' una copia autentica. La chiesa nel 1627 ha subito un incendio che ha distrutto tutti gli interni, mentre nei primi anni del 1700, ha subito delle trasformazioni barocche, alterando la costruzione originaria romanica. Nel 1954 Il Genio Civile ha rimosso tutte le trasformazioni e oggi la chiesa presenta ancora il suo antico aspetto romanico, medioevale.
