, 1/160 f/7.1, ISO 125, hand held. Matera, Italy.

Good evening Franco. I started a visit to your galleries and I enjoyed the fact that goes for themes. I myself should I learn this method. In this dedicated to the Sassi of Matera, very beautiful, this is your favorite photo. I find it very beautiful ones in black and white but this color I see more depth and I think is more valuable the continuous succession of houses, stairs, alleys, arcades etc. A beautiful photograph so that brings me back to one of those paintings of MCEscher that seems to have inspired, for His works, in these places. Allow me a suggestion. Given the documentary value of this your work, it should, in the initial section of the tunnel in space after the title, report a descriptive caption of the history of Matera. You already have some of the variousphoto but I think the most appropriate place is right at the beginning. Congratulations for this photo but also for the whole gallery. See you soon. A greeting.

Hello Paul
I am honored your work
I know that you are sincere and not make problems for criticism, suggestions, tips and more.
the right spirit to increase our "know" photo.
For some 'time I add captions to the shots (where needed) because I realized that the vision gains.
Here for Matera it would take a book and tried to synthesize the visit is selecting the shots is accompanying you on a journey "virtual" before doing so, maybe, real.
The black and white helped me a lot in this story, contextualizing well the virtual tour.
For this shot you "read" the good message - the set of stairs, narrow streets, gates, doors, windows etc. (Also some parable -D).
I enjoy reading your beautiful and careful analysis and recommend it to everyone visiting Matera
